Here we are rolling out and soaking a monoacrylic biaxial fiber (Diolen) with epoxy resin. It will take several coats, with sanding in between each. The bow will require two-layers of the fabric. Where the Diolen overlaps, a ridge will appear that will require layers of thickened epoxy to be spackled on top. And so begins another round of fairing – both additive (with epoxy glazes) and subtractive (light sanding).
